I found an image that merited a double happiness post. It was an image of an otherwise-normal chiascuro painting, depicting a bar scene. Except that sitting along the back wall there was a tiny lizard wrapped in white cloth who was painted in the scene almost incidentally, as if he had unintentionally walked into the painting while it was being painted. As with many double happiness posts, I theorized that if there was one unintentional-lizard painting there must be others, and sure enough I managed to find a reworked version of the infamous Edward Hopper painting “Nighthawks” with a lizard sitting at the bar. I even came up with a title, “Gila High Five,” but at this point I either saved it as a draft because of “need more stuff” or I woke up.
