Teflon and the third dimension









Completely independent of the Uncanny Valley, I find it really hard to take three dimensions seriously.

    Yes, these are good bad examples of 3D. It doesn’t seem to bother a lot of people that most 3D characters in games, movies, etc look like they’re made of vinyl or rubber.

    there becomes a point in a game though where the characters (or avatars, rather) become invisible and the bulk of the user’s mental investment is in the game mechanics.
